The Jidi was designed and developed by Kofa and TAILG for the specific environments and needs of users in Africa. With unparalleled, petrol-beating performance, the Jidi has been engineered to go further, faster, be safer and carry more all while reducing running costs by up to 30% and significantly reducing your carbon footprint.
Powered by the latest edition of Kofa Kore2 batteries, the Jidi has a range of up to 90km, with the batteries being swappable at any Kofa Swap & Go station, this also means zero charge time - just swap batteries in the matter of seconds.
The Jidi, a testament to ingenuity and collaboration, emerges from the heart of Accra,
Ghana, tailored for the bustling urban roads across Africa. Its design, characterised by durability, superior ground clearance, and an optimised mid-motor layout, is the result of an in-depth dialogue with the very people who navigate these roads daily.
Built from the ground up, the Jidi features dual top-down, removable Kofa Kore2 batteries, an extended seat for added comfort, and customisable carrying solutions. These unique elements ensure that the Jidi stands out not just for its appearance but for its practicality in the day-to-day lives of its users.
The design of the Jidi, is the result of a collaborative effort between Kofa and the vibrant community of riders and gig workers in Accra. This hands-on approach, has made the Jidi much more than a motorcycle but a co-creation with the very people it serves.
Never run out of charge. With two Kofa Kore2 batteries, achieve up to 90km of range between swaps and get back on the road, fully charged in under 2 minutes.
Cruise at speeds up to 85km/h with the mid-mounted 72V, 3500w motor. With 45Nm of torque, the Jidi can accelerate faster and carry more.
Coupled with a Kofa Swap & Go access subscription, the Jidi can see your running costs reduced. Removing the batteries from your upfront costs allows you to buy cutting-edge EV performance, technology and low maintenance for the price of an entry-level ICE motorcycle.
Going electric with the Jidi means no petrol-tank, instead you will find easy-access, lockable storage for your possessions. With an impressive maximum payload of 223kg, standard or heavy-duty rear carry-racks can be attached to enable larger items to be carried.
Low phone battery? Do not worry about losing contact while on the road. The Jidi comes with USB charging ports and a mobile phone holder so that you can power your devices and stay safe on the go.
A unique battery compartment, allowing the two Kofa batteries to easily be removed and replaced from the top-down. Making for a swift, easy and comfortable battery swap, that anyone can do.
With no gears, engine noise or vibrations, the Jidi simplifies your ride and removes distractions. Super bright LED lights, CBS (Combined Braking System) front & rear disc brakes and clear HD speedometer display come as standard.
A set of tools to allow you to independently adjust and carry out basic maintenance to your Jidi motorcycle without needing to look for specialised technicians.
